How and when will I receive my tickets?
1. Booking confirmed
After completing your purchase, you will receive a booking confirmation email. If the tickets are nominative, you will always receive a form to complete your personal details by email, WhatsApp, and SMS. It is essential to complete it within 30 minutes of the booking in order to correctly issue the tickets.
2. Ticket delivery
Our delivery commitment is:
- Up to 24 hours before the visit for advance bookings.
- Up to 1 hour before the visit for bookings made less than 24 hours in advance.
Once the tickets are available, you will receive them by email and, additionally, we may send them via WhatsApp and/or SMS for your convenience. Furthermore, 24 hours before your visit, you will receive an automatic reminder through the same channels.
3. Exception: tours with on-site ticket delivery
For guided tours, tickets are not sent in advance, as they are delivered directly by the guide to the customer.
- Delivery takes place at the meeting point, on the day and time of the visit.
- The customer must go to the meeting point indicated in the booking confirmation email.
The type of tour purchased (digital delivery or on-site delivery) is clearly indicated in the booking confirmation email sent immediately after purchase.
What should I do if I booked my tickets with an AUDIOGUIDE?
All the information will be sent to you by email. First, we confirm your purchase; then, in a second email, we send you access to your private area, where you can download your Westminster Abbey tickets as well as the selected audioguide.
What documentation do I need to access the monument?
Tickets for Westminster Abbey are not nominal, but we always recommend carrying some form of identification in case it is requested by the venue authorities.
Can I carry my tickets in digital format?
Yes, you can present your tickets either in the original digital format, with the barcode visible, or printed. If you use the digital format, please increase your screen brightness at the entrance to facilitate scanning.
Do children need tickets for Westminster Abbey?
Children under 5 do not require a ticket to enter the monument; those aged 5 and over do.
Can I change or cancel my tickets?
Once the ticket reservation is made, it cannot be changed or cancelled. Please pay close attention to the date, time and name before completing the purchase, as changes and refunds are not accepted.
No exceptions are made for work-related issues, travel cancellations, COVID-19 or other illnesses, as established by the monument’s managing policies and stated during the purchase process.
Refunds are only considered in the event of an unexpected closure of the monument, in which case the amount will be automatically refunded via the same payment method used for the purchase.
Can I exercise the right of withdrawal?
Ticket purchases are not subject to the right of withdrawal, as set out in the monument’s purchase policy. Tickets cannot be cancelled or modified. Any additional services selected during the purchase cannot be changed either.
Is it possible to eat inside the monument?
Eating is not allowed inside the church, but there is an on-site café with a terrace, Cellarium, as well as a kiosk where you can have a snack or a full meal.
Is there a left-luggage service at the monument?
No, Westminster Abbey does not have a left-luggage service. Large backpacks or suitcases are prohibited, so we recommend bringing only a small bag or backpack.
Is the visit cancelled in case of rain?
No, the visit can take place regardless of the weather.
What happens if the monument closes?
If Westminster Abbey closes due to force majeure and we are not informed sufficiently in advance, we will offer you another date and time for your visit or, if that does not suit you, a full refund of your ticket.
Are pets allowed in the monument?
No, only guide dogs or assistance dogs are allowed, and prior communication with the monument’s authorities is required.
Can I enter Westminster Abbey at a different time than the one selected during my purchase?
No, access is only permitted on the selected date and time.
How long can I stay inside Westminster Abbey?
Once inside, there is no time limit for your visit beyond the Abbey’s opening and closing hours.

Is there a dress code to enter the Abbey?
Westminster Abbey has no strict dress code, but asks visitors to be respectful, as it is an active place of worship. As general guidance, avoid bare shoulders (sleeveless shirts or tops) and head coverings (caps or hats). In winter, dress warmly as some areas can be very cold. Comfortable footwear is recommended, as the floor is uneven.
Are photographs allowed inside the monument?
Photography is not permitted inside the Abbey, except in the cloisters, the Chapter House and the College Garden.
